New Life Goal
I have a new goal in life. It's a little silly and maybe a little stupid, but I want it real bad LMAO
I want to move to Scotland. And I want to eventually own a house that used to be an old church. This came about because I've honestly been frustrated at how unlivable where I live in Canada has become. Good luck owning a house, everything is fucking millions of dollars- even small houses!!!! Even in rural areas!!!! it's infuriating!!!! even worse when paired with how fucking hard it is here to even get a job. I can't even get a job at zehrs, it's getting ridiculous.
So, I began looking at opportunities to move to other countries that are safely as democratic and LGBTQ+ friendly as canada is. Did you know that if you're below 35 and in possession of a canadian passport, you can get a Youth Mobility Scheme Visa in 30 different countries? That's fucking CRAZY.
So I focused my sights on scotland. Lovely country, beautiful old buildings, rich history, awesome amount of public transportation. I've also always loved looking at houses (Maybe I should consider a job in real estate.... lmao) and the amount of astonishingly cheap houses that are absolutely beautiful in scotland is just insane to me. Ok, 200K pounds isn't realllyyy that cheap, but if you've ever gone house hunting in Ontario...... it's really cheap ok LMAO
And the amount of oldass churches I saw for sale that were totally trashed was really fucking funny. I want one.
I'm really fired up about it, especially considering scotland has a developing game dev scene... I'm going to start really looking for jobs so I can save up to get that visa....!!!!
